More than five RARC codes
Description
2100/CAS (claim level) can have up to 6 CARC codes and also can be repeated 99 times, but MIA and MOA only have spots for 5 RARC codes and can only be repeated once.
What should be done if you have 6 or more CARC codes which need a RARC?
Scenario
You have 6 or more CARC codes at claim level which need a RARC. How to send them in 835?
RFI Response
The 5010 835 implementation guide does not support more than 5 RARC codes at the 2100 level. In subsequent versions of the TR3 guide, the 2100 RAS segment allows for more than 5 RARC codes.
