We are being asked to capture a member's ERISA flag on an 834 transaction on a member's enrollment record.
Is there a place (loop/segment/qualifier) for the ERISA indicator to be transmitted in the 834? I don't see anywhere to send it other than a ZZ mutually defined REF segment.
The Department of Labor announced the extension of certain timeframes under the ERISA act for group health plans and participants due to Covid-19.
The 834 does not have a data element to report if the health plan is ERISA. This data seems that it would be setup at the group/plan level prior to the enrollment transaction being sent/received.
