WHEN A FACILITY IS OPERATED BY THE ENTITY IN THE 2010AA LOOP BUT IS A DIFFERENT PHYSICAL LOCATION, DOES ONE SEND THE NPI INTHE NM1 SEGMENT OR SUPPRESS IT? WHAT ABOUT THE ENTIRE 2010C LOOP?

When the Facility is operated by the Billing Provider entity reported in the 2010AA Loop and is a different physical location, then that Facility is reported in the 2310C Loop. However, the NM108 and NM109 must not be sent. It is not permissible to report an organization health care provider NPI as the Service Location if the entity being identified is a component (for example, subpart) of the Billing Provider. In that case, the subpart must be the Billing Provider.
