ADA Codes on the 837I
Description
Hospitals are now starting to employ hospital based dentists to provide more routine preventive services in hospital clinics. There are no comparable CPT code for many of the preventive services.
Are CDT codes allowed on the 837I? If not please cite where they are disallowed.

Yes, dental procedure codes (CDT) are part of the HCPCS code set which would be submitted using the HC qualifier on the institutional 837 claim.
