X12 EDI to FHIR Training

X12 is pleased to offer a 2-part webinar for the public related to its collaborative work with the Da Vinci Project. X12 and the Da Vinci Project collaborated to produce mappings to/from X12’s EDI Standard transactions related to prior authorizations and FHIR’s clinically-focused framework. The first session is scheduled for December 2, 2021, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM Eastern Time and is an introduction and overview of interoperability, the basic FHIR concepts, and how FHIR intersects with X12’s EDI Standard. The second session is scheduled for December 7, 2021, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM Eastern Time and is a more in-depth look at FHIR concepts, artifacts, and the data mapping between X12’s EDI Standard and FHIR.

The result of this collaborative work is approved crosswalks that document the data intersections that build on the health care industry’s success while opening the door to expanded uses and audiences.
