I have a situation where the line (SV1 loop) has duplicate SVD loop. I don’t see anything in TR3 about whether or not it is valid to code this way,
Ex:
LX*1
SV1*HC|H2015|U3*0*UN*2***1********0
DTP*472*D8*20140103
SVD*PROVIDERA*0*HC|H2015**2
DTP*573*D8*20150326
SVD*PROVIDERA*0*HC|H2015**2
DTP*573*D8*20150326
SVD*PROVIDERB*0*HC|H2015|U3**0
DTP*573*D8*20150403
Nothing in the TR3 specifically prevents duplicate SVD iterations. However, each SVD iteration must identify a unique service line payment and/or adjustment adjudicated by one of the payers identified in Loop 2330B.
Front Matter Section 1.4.1.4 provides guidance for the use of multiple SVD’s to report bundling.
RFI 1933 addresses the issue of associating multiple occurrences of the 2430 Loop where the payer is the same. Version 5010 does not support this. This was addressed in the next version by changing the SVD01 value to the corresponding Other Payer Responsibility Sequence Code reported in Loop 2320 SBR01.
